Sleep Must-Haves for Traveling

Getting a great sleep routine established for your child is so exciting…until you inevitably plan a weekend trip and start to worry how your child will sleep when they’re not in their own bed!

Here are 3 recommended items to bring from home to help your child sleep well on vacation…

1. Portable sound machine. This is great to use on a car trip or in a hotel room.

2. Slumberpod is a cool device that helps recreate your baby’s super dark room no matter where you are for good naps! @slumberpod

3. Bring your child’s familiar swaddle, sleep sack, or blanket from home. Keeping their bedtime routine as close to normal as possible will help them settle down for sleep even when they’re at a relative’s instead of their own bed. Bringing some familiar items from home will be very comforting and helpful!

Extra tip: Time short car trips around your baby’s nap if possible so they’ll sleep in the car.

Finally, don’t stress too much if your schedule goes wonky (especially if you’re traveling to a different time zone). You’ll be able to guide your child back to their usual schedule once you get back home.
