EASY Nighttime Hack for Formula Fed Babies!

Sometimes bottle feeding just isn’t as convenient as it sounds - especially when you have to get up a few times in the night to prepare a fresh bottle! As a newborn care specialist and seasoned night nanny, I’ve learned lots of ways to make nighttime infant care a snap.

Here’s a baby formula feeding tip to help make night feedings as quick and easy as possible:

Did you know that prepared infant formula is good in the fridge for up to 24 hrs? That means that every morning, you can take a few minutes to prepare the next 24 hrs of bottles and pop them in the fridge! Be sure your bottles are sanitized and dry, the formula is prepared properly, and the caps are placed onto the bottles.

When your baby wakes for night feeds, grab a prepared bottle and pop it into the bottle warmer for a couple minutes while you get your baby up, unswaddle, and change diaper. After a quick feed and burp you can reswaddle and lay back down. Not only does this save a lot of time during the day, it really saves time in the middle of the night and precious minutes that your own eyes could be closed! 😌

Do you know how to properly prepare powdered infant formula? Hint: the side of the can doesn’t tell you.
